[Training] Aerial Hoop at Las Vegas Circus Center

Training today at the Las Vegas Circus Center.

I’ve always enjoyed flexibility training at home, on gymnastics floors, yoga mats, in dance studios, at parks… even though I’ve been performing and teaching aerial for many years, it’s not until recently that I’ve come to really enjoy using the aerial apparatus for flexibility training. In the video above you can see how the lyra supports my legs, allowing me to drop my bellybutton low, and providing a frame for me to pull against with my arms. Such a delicious stretch ๐Ÿ™‚

Below is a sequence that literally just flowed from me as I was still warming up. Just exploring the hoop, opening up my shoulders, waking up my spin… sometimes the best things just come when they’re ready. That’s how this sequence worked.

I’d say it was a pretty good day ๐Ÿ™‚
