Intro to Contortion Workshop 
This two-hour workshop will warm you up, take you into deep stretches, exploring contortion poses, active flexibility, as well as myofascial release for flexibility and recovery! You do not need to be a contortionist to attend!!! 

Acro-Contortion Workshop 

This workshop is designed to progressively teach the art of contortion in addition to basic tumbling and acrobatic skills. Students will increase flexibility, muscle control and fluidity of movement to create unique poses and tumbling skills.

Must be comfortable performing a bridge/wheel pose.

Peanut Party 

Gain flexibility by using your peanut roller to relax knotted muscles, release sticky fascia, and massage out achy lactic acid. Peanut Party is a 1 hour full body squish session guided by Teacher Cheryl. All you need to bring is your beautiful smile and your peanut roller (approximately $12 on Amazon).

Contortion:

Contortion and flexibility training allows gymnasts, dancers, figure skaters, aerialists, and acrobats to maximize the aesthetic appeal of their art. For those most passionate about flexibility, contortion is all about extreme bending, and is a highly regarded traditional art form.

Flexibility training is safe and effective when supervised by knowledgeable and experienced trainers. Eliminate the guesswork, the risk of ineffective stretches, stretching movements that may be dangerous or detrimental to your training goals. Teacher Cheryl will help you monitor progress, help you recover safely, adjust training based on individual needs, and gain flexibility fast!

Many gymnasts, yogis, acrobats, dancers, and contortionists seek to take their skills to the next level by adding handstands to their repertoire. Handstands are an incredible display of strength, body awareness, and focus.

Handstand beginners often become discouraged, injured, or waste time on ineffective training techniques. Handstands use the entire body, and place pressure on parts of the body that are often unconditioned for supporting one’s weight (such as the wrists and shoulders). There are many ways to prepare your body for this kind of activity, as well as methods for targeting areas that need more development.

Cheryl uses the aerial hammock and Lyra/hoop to teach strength, flexibility, and acrobatic sequences. Students enjoy the empowerment of building upper body strength, gaining flexibility, or learning new tricks they never knew they could achieve.  Some of Cheryl’s students even take their skills to the stage and perform on the aerial hammock or Lyra!

Private/Semi-Private Lessons

Private/Semi-Private lessons are a great way to achieve your specific goals. The group setting caters to many levels and many goals. 1:1 or small group lessons in Contortion, Handbalancing, Aerial Hoop/Lyra, or Aerial Hammock practice, will help take your skills to the next level!
